J.W.H. Nichols (1867–1960) was a preacher and teacher of God’s Word, and the author of a number of commentaries on various books of the Bible.

Paul urgently warned the Galatian assemblies that they were turning to a “different gospel” which was a perversion of the true gospel. They had heard the true gospel from Paul. He defended what he had preached to them as from God. They had fallen back into law-keeping, and Paul warned them that no one can be justified by the works of the law.

Paul shows that justification is by faith. The law was added because of sin; it was the Jew’s teacher until Christ came. The Christian is justified by faith and has been adopted (placed) as sons—an heir of God through Christ.

We urge you to read this comparatively short book with an open Bible and see what a wonderful thing Christianity is. Paul warns against false doctrine—that it would leaven (corrupt) the whole Assembly if allowed to go on. The book ends with important truths that God expects from every assembly, as well as the warning that God is not mocked; whatever a man sows, that is what he will reap. What are you sowing?
